On June 13, 2024, NASA will be hosting an Accelerating Informatics for Earth Science Event at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. The main objective of this event is to promote the formation of valuable partnerships between commercial data product developers and the science community. Additionally, the event aims to explore innovative strategies for enhancing the processing of archived and real-time satellite data.
Scientists who are interested in utilizing and refining these analytics tools for Earth science applications, whether onboard spacecraft or on the ground, are also urged to apply. Informatics product developers with specialized knowledge in AI/ML, onboard data processing, data exploration and analysis frameworks, knowledge co-generation, data visualization, and other relevant tools are encouraged to participate in this event.
By bringing together experts from both the commercial and scientific sectors, the event hopes to catalyze advancements in the field of Earth science data utilization.
