Falcons Fortify Defense with Addition of Kevin King and Antonio Hamilton

Falcons Acquire Kevin King – Yahoo Sports

The Falcons have announced the signing of cornerback Kevin King to their secondary. Although the details of the contract were not disclosed, King was a second-round pick for the Packers in 2017 and spent five seasons with the team before sitting out the 2022 season due to injuries. Unfortunately, his return to action was delayed when he suffered an Achilles injury last spring while preparing for a comeback.

During his time with the Packers, King recorded impressive statistics, including 197 tackles, seven interceptions, 30 passes defended, one sack, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 51 games.

The Falcons have been actively building up their defensive roster for the upcoming season and have also recently signed Antonio Hamilton. In addition to King, Hamilton, A.J. Terrell, Mike Hughes, Clark Phillips III, Dee Alford, and Natrone Brooks are all part of the Falcons’ secondary roster. With these additions and more on the way, it looks like the Falcons are determined to make a strong defensive showing this year.
