Fire Chief Caught on Camera Damaging Rare Nissan Sports Car: Owner Seeking Legal Action

Video purportedly depicts N.J. fire chief defacing rare Nissan sports car. The owner explains the shocking incident.

Piscataway, New Jersey – A video has emerged that allegedly shows fire chief Joshua Scolnick vandalizing a rare 1995 Nissan Nismo 270R parked next to the firehouse where he works. The owner of the car, Mark Bahna, claims that Scolnick was upset about rainwater from his sump pump seeping over to the Arbor Hose Company #1 next door.

Bahna, who collects and sells Japanese sports cars, says his car was scratched and dented and is one of only 30 produced by Nissan in 1995. The incident has left him devastated as he holds sentimental value for this car being number five out of the 30 produced. Bahna’s attorney, Mark Speed, stated that they are exploring all legal options and have reached out to the parties involved in writing.

The attorney mentioned that they are waiting for a response to the situation. Scolnick has been charged with 3rd degree criminal mischief and was released on a summons complaint. Attempts were made to reach out to Scolnick at the firehouse where he works, but there were no responses. Similarly, Piscataway Fire District No. 3, which is responsible for the firehouse, did not respond to messages. This incident has caused a stir in the community and has left Bahna exploring legal options to address the damage caused to his prized sports car.
