From Breathing Robots to Heated Carpets: How UX/UI Students are Revolutionizing Relaxation with Graduation Projects

Anxiety management products

The students at the university have developed several unique products as part of their graduation projects. One of these is a breathing robot, which is made up of two connected parts and moves in response to a motorized breathing pattern. This robotic object is designed to help individuals focus on conscious breathing and slow down their breathing rate. Studies have shown that when someone nearby breathes at a certain rate, it can help synchronize our own breathing and promote relaxation.

Another project created by the students is a heated carpet for conscious walking. The carpet has built-in heating points that create a pleasurable sensation when walking. By combining the simple action of walking with the calming effects of heat, users are encouraged to engage in mindful walking, also known as mindful exercise.

These projects fall under the students’ specialization in UX/UI studies during their degree program. This field encompasses design, management, product characterization, user experience research, and advanced technologies. Through this specialized training, students are able to create innovative and practical products that enhance users’ well-being and quality of life.
