From Divestment to Savings: How Atlantic Aviation Optimized Their Technology Budget and Saved Millions

Maximizing Technology Budgets: Insights from a CIO

Organizations face significant expenses related to tech and tech-adjacent expenditures such as CRM, cloud and data services, billing, software, network storage, business process outsourcing, telecommunications services, and data center technology. These costs can be reduced to achieve substantial savings.

I recently had a detailed conversation with Tracy Mozena, the CIO of Atlantic Aviation. Tracy shared her experiences in navigating technology budgets and how optimizing them led to significant financial benefits for her organization.

Atlantic Aviation is a leader in aviation ground support services and serves as a case study for the financial benefits that organizations can attain by optimizing their technology budgets. Tracy previously managed IT for a management company that owned five businesses and made technology decisions to leverage economies of scale. Due to the impact of the COVID pandemic, all those companies were divested, with Atlantic Aviation being the second-to-last entity sold and acquired by KKR. Tracy transitioned to Atlantic Aviation following that transaction.

In conclusion, optimizing technology budgets can lead to significant cost savings for organizations. It’s important for CIOs like Tracy Mozena to navigate these budgets effectively to achieve optimal results.
