The team behind Floridaman, a new Gulf Coast-themed sports and dive bar that will open on the second floor of Breaker Breaker on the Eastside Beltline, are excited to bring a taste of Florida to Atlanta. The bar is named after a persona commonly used in news headlines that has become a meme. This concept was inspired by the team’s own experiences growing up in Florida, where such bizarre incidents are a regular occurrence along the Gulf Coast.
Floridaman will offer two potent frozen cocktails on tap, along with a beer and wine list and a selection of canned cocktails. The food menu will feature handheld items and dips that pair well with drinks. One of the signature dishes will be the Floridaman sandwich, a twist on the Tampa Cuban featuring roasted chicken, ham, salami, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, and mayonnaise.
The atmosphere at Floridaman will be reminiscent of Breaker Breaker’s vibe, but with a more tropical feel. The space will be decorated with patterned lounge furniture, artwork, and lighting installations, as well as tropical plants. Seating will overlook the Beltline, offering a unique view for guests to enjoy while they relax and unwind.
The new bar will be located at 921 Wylie Street Southeast and promises to offer a fun and laid-back atmosphere for guests to enjoy on the Eastside Beltline.
