Three Entrepreneurs Who Impressed Galperin at the Llao Llao Forum

The Llao Llao Forum in Bariloche, a stunning landscape, is dedicated to bringing together high-impact businessmen and entrepreneurs. This year’s program is focused on global uncertainty, and the Forum has invested a significant amount of time, money, and energy into its initiatives. One of the special panels at the Forum highlights start-ups with three unique cases that have a strong connection with the Argentine scientific system of public universities and Conicet.

The Endeavor Foundation played a crucial role in developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem by promoting the creation of this forum in 2011. According to Julia Bearzi, CEO of Endeavor, biotechnology is one of the most powerful sectors among the 40 countries where the foundation operates. The panel at the Forum showcased how innovation and technology are transforming various sectors such as health, environment, and agriculture.

One of these start-ups is OncoPrecision, which was created by Tarek Ali Zake and scientists from the National University of Córdoba to improve cancer treatment precision using artificial intelligence. Another start-up called Kilimo developed water-saving systems similar to green teams. Lastly, Beeflow focused on expanding bee pollination management globally. These innovative approaches showcase how combining science, technology, and vision can address pressing challenges effectively.

These start-ups received support from several funds such as GRIDX fund that unites research scientists with business-trained entrepreneurs. Miguel Galuccio was among its key supporters while Graciela Ciccio from Insud also contributed significantly to their success. Additionally, other state funds from New York and Amazon founders also contributed to their growth.

Overall, these start-ups represent a significant milestone in Argentine entrepreneurship as they demonstrate how science and technology can work together to solve some of society’s most pressing challenges.
