G7 Leaders Convene in Venice to Tackle Climate and Energy Challenges in Historic Meeting

The G7 Meeting on Environment, Energy, and Climate starts in Venaria

The G7 Environment, Energy, and Climate meeting is taking place at the Royal Palace of Venaria under the leadership of the Italian Presidency. The summit will begin with a plenary session led by Minister Pichetto, Deputy Minister Gava, and Undersecretary Barbaro from the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.

The meetings will be held over two days, with four sessions in total. The first day will include a work session focused on Climate and Energy, followed by an Environment session in the afternoon. On Tuesday, a new plenary meeting of all Ministers will open the day, followed by a joint press conference with Italy’s Gilberto Pichetto and counterparts from Japan and Canada.

Technical meetings of working groups have been held in recent months to develop themes at the center of the discussion. In addition to ministerial representatives from several countries, key Commissioners from the European Commission will also be present at the summit. Representatives from various international institutions and organizations have been invited to participate in the discussions on environmental, energy, and climate issues.

Over one hundred and fifty accredited information operators are present at the Venaria Reale Media Center, where discussions and decisions related to the G7 meeting are being communicated to the public.
