Georgia’s women’s tennis team extended their win streak to ten with a 4-1 victory over No. 22 Tennessee at Barksdale Stadium on Sunday. The Bulldogs are still undefeated in the Southeastern Conference and have a record of 12-3 for the season.

Despite losing in doubles play, Georgia rallied to win four consecutive singles matches and secure the victory. Each of the six singles lines won their first sets, showcasing a strong team effort.

Head coach Drake Bernstein praised his team’s performance, stating, “Today was a great team effort coming out taking six first sets after losing a tough doubles point. We really never looked back once singles got started.” No. 75 Mell Reasco garnered the first point for Georgia with a swift 6-2, 6-3 win over Tennessee’s Alana Wolfberg. Additionally, Dasha Vidmanova and Aysegul Mert, the No. 16 doubles pair, defeated the No. 49 duo of Wolfberg and Esther Adeshina 6-4 to secure the Bulldogs’ only doubles win.

On court six, No. 91 Mai Nirundorn gave Georgia a 2-1 lead over Tennessee with a straight-set victory of 6-2, 6-2 against Lauren Anzalotts. Meanwhile, on court two, No. 30 Alexandra Vecic overcame a tough second set tiebreaker to win 6-4, 7-6(3) against Elza Tomase, expanding Georgia’s lead to 3-1
