Hamas Ready to Negotiate, Blames Netanyahu for Blocking Peace Talks with Israel

Hamas source says Israeli delegation kept them waiting in Cairo for two days

The Hamas representative during an interview with the Saudi TV channel Al-Sharak clarified that their group is prepared to engage in further negotiations if a second party is willing to participate. However, they placed the blame on Benjamin Netanyahu for the lack of progress in negotiations with Israel. Despite this, the Hamas delegation did not withdraw from the negotiations or reject the Egyptian mediators. Instead, they were left waiting for the Israeli delegation to show up in Cairo for two days.

The Hamas representative expressed their group’s interest in reaching an agreement and their readiness to continue negotiations. They suggested their own interpretations on certain points of the agreement and are awaiting a clear response from the Israeli side. Additionally, the Hamas representative highlighted that Netanyahu’s statements to the Israelis have raised suspicions about his true intentions to continue the conflict.

Despite these challenges, there is still a possibility of reaching an agreement if both sides demonstrate seriousness in the negotiations. The focus remains on finding common ground and moving towards a resolution that benefits both sides.
