In preparation for the 2024 IIHF Men’s World Championship in Ostrava and Prague, Hockey Canada has announced its roster of 22 players. Among them is Connor Bedard from the Chicago Blackhawks, who had an impressive rookie season in the NHL. Standing at 5-foot-10, Bedard scored 22 goals and 61 points in 68 games and is a finalist for the Calder Trophy for rookie of the year.

Another notable member of the team is Macklin Celebrini from Boston University, who is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft in Las Vegas. Celebrini, a forward, won the Hobey Baker Trophy as the top player in NCAA hockey after scoring 32 goals and 64 points in 38 games. He also had a strong performance for Canada at the 2024 World Juniors, contributing four goals and eight points in five games.

With a lineup of promising athletes, Team Canada is poised to make a strong showing at the championship and compete for the top spot among the world’s best hockey teams.
