Check Technology Acquired by Innovative Motion Technologies

Innovative Motion Technologies (IMT), a Germantown-based company that specializes in interface and control solutions, has recently acquired Check Technology, a Troy, MI-based company that specializes in flexible heating systems. The specifics of the deal were not disclosed. This acquisition will help IMT strengthen its strategic position in the healthcare, agriculture, and off-road vehicle markets.

Founded in 1993, Check Technology is known for designing, manufacturing, and marketing heating and control systems for various applications across different industries. With manufacturing facilities located in Troy, Michigan, the company has been producing American-made control modules for many years.

IMT, led by CEO Rich Weeden, is an industrial technology platform that provides interface and control solutions for OEM and aftermarket applications. The company operates under two brands: Raffel Systems and Micro-Air. Raffel Systems focuses on electro-mechanical controls for residential, healthcare, industrial, cinema, and hospitality markets. On the other hand, Micro-Air focuses on environmental controls for residential recreational vehicle HVAC marine applications.

This acquisition will allow IMT to expand its offerings and capabilities to better serve its customers across a broader range of industries.
