Inspire Brands Appoints New CTO to Drive Technology Strategy for Dunkin’, Arby’s and More

Yasir Anwar Appointed as Chief Technology Officer at Inspire Brands

Inspire Brands, a restaurant holding company that includes Dunkin’, Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Baskin-Robbins, has appointed Yasir Anwar as its next Chief Technology Officer. Anwar brings over two decades of technology leadership experience to Inspire, which has achieved more than $30 billion in digital sales across its restaurant brands. He most recently held the position of Chief Technology and Digital Officer at Williams-Sonoma and has also served as CTO at Macy’s, with previous technology leadership roles at Walmart and Wells Fargo.

As CTO, Anwar will be responsible for overseeing product and data engineering, technology operations, architecture, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and infrastructure and development operations at Inspire Brands. He joins the company’s management committee and reports to Co-Founder and CEO Paul Brown. Anwar expressed his excitement about joining Inspire Brands and working with the technology teams to drive the organization’s technology strategy for its six iconic brands.

Anwar takes over the CTO role from Raghu Sagi, who has recently assumed the position of Chief Information and Technology Officer at Carter’s, an apparel firm. Inspire Brands’ commitment to building shared technology capabilities across its brand portfolio aims to harness data-driven insights and enhance the digital experience for both guests and franchisees. Inspire Brands is owned by private equity firm Roark Capital Group, positioning it as a key player in the restaurant industry.
