Israeli Ministry of Defense to Buy Domestic Armored Vehicle Equipment

An agreement has been finalized by the Ministry of Defense with Israeli company IMCO to provide equipment for IDF armored vehicles. The four-year deal, worth approximately 376 million shekels, will see the equipment used for Merkava tanks as well as Namer and Eitan armored personnel carriers.

The decision to make this deal was influenced by the lessons learned from the War of Iron Swords. The goal of the agreement is to enhance the capabilities of the ground forces, with a specific focus on improving armored military equipment. This investment is expected to contribute to the overall readiness and effectiveness of the IDF in fulfilling its defense objectives.
