Israel Under Siege: The Need for Unwavering Vigilance in the Face of Increased Aggression

Iran warns of a “much larger” attack on Israel if retaliated against missile and drone attacks – Middle East Updates | Global News

The recent attacks on Israel have brought to the fore the need for the IDF to remain prepared for further aggression and potential new war fronts. Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner, spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), has emphasized this point in response to questions from journalists.

Lerner has described the defense of Israel as a collective effort involving military forces from the United States, Britain, and France. The goal is to send a clear message to Iran that any aggression against Israel will not be tolerated. He stresses that the IDF must remain vigilant and ready for any eventuality, with aerial defenses on high alert at all times.

Despite only a small percentage of the 120 ballistic missiles launched reaching their targets in Israel, one young girl is currently in critical condition as a result of the attacks. Lerner has acknowledged that Iran has escalated its aggression against Israel and urged caution to prevent similar incidents in the future.

When asked about Iran’s attack on its consulate in Syria, Lerner chose not to comment, preferring instead to focus on preparing for potential threats and maintaining vigilance over Israeli lives. This decision reflects the IDF’s commitment to protecting its citizens and allies from harm, regardless of where threats may come from.
