Deborah Sherer has always been committed to supporting families who have donated organs of their deceased loved ones. She believes that these special families deserve recognition and support, especially during difficult times.
During the holiday season, Sherer decided to take action and reach out to her personal friends and various organizations in the Israeli economy to collect food packages for these families. To her surprise, everyone immediately responded to her request without hesitation.
Sherer was quoted saying, “I couldn’t imagine someone who gave so much to society being left without food during the holiday season.” She knew that this gesture would make a huge impact on the lives of these families who have sacrificed so much for others.
As of today, Sherer has successfully raised over 2,000 food packages for these families. The collection of the food packages is done entirely voluntarily by Sherer in her private time without any public attention. It is a heartfelt gesture from Sherer to ensure that these families are taken care of during the holiday season.
