Jurassic World: Universal Brings in Jonathan Bailey for a New Leading Role

‘Jonathan Bailey Considered for Lead Role in ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel’

In recent news, Universal is considering Jonathan Bailey, who has gained popularity for his role in the upcoming Wicked films, for a leading role in the new Jurassic World movie. The film, directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp, will continue the world created by Michael Crichton and adapted by Steven Spielberg in 1993’s Jurassic Park.

Since then, Spielberg directed The Lost World in 1997, with Joe Johnston taking over for Jurassic Park III in 2001. In 2015, Colin Trevorrow revitalized the franchise with Jurassic World, featuring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. The film explored a park full of dinosaurs open to the public, with Pratt and Howard returning for two more features. The upcoming Dominion in 2022 will unite stars from both the original Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, with new characters expected to lead the story.

Bailey made an appearance at CinemaCon during Universal’s presentation last week and also starred in the Showtime limited series Fellow Travelers, which earned him a Critics Choice Award. Bailey is represented by CAA, Anonymous Content, and Hansen Jacobson. If he were to take on a role in Jurassic World, it would further solidify his career in Hollywood as he joins Scarlett Johansson on set for another exciting adventure.
