London Pub Taken Over by Squatters in Legal Battle with Gordon Ramsay”.

Occupants in One of Gordon Ramsay’s London Restaurants Insist They’re Not Leaving

In London, a group of squatters has seized control of a Gordon Ramsay pub listed for sale for £13 million. The building, which is a Grade II listed structure, has been embroiled in a legal battle between Ramsay and film director Gary Love since 2007. Love acquired the freehold in 2007, but Ramsay leased the building from him under a 25-year agreement.

Despite attempts by Ramsay to terminate the lease in 2015, he was unsuccessful. The building is now up for sale, and despite a court order for possession being secured by Gordon Ramsay Holdings International Limited earlier this week, the squatters remain in the building.

The Metropolitan Police department in London is aware of the situation and has stated that they will take appropriate action. This incident involving squatters is not new this year as a couple in New York City was unable to move into their $2 million home in Queens due to a squatter refusing to vacate the property. The couple sued the squatter for eviction, but he countersued for harassment.
