Ubisoft has confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30 this year, following the leaking of its release date prior to the launch of its latest story trailer. Pre-orders for the game went live on April 9, and players who purchase the Gold or Ultimate edition will receive three days of early access along with other digital goodies.
The game is centered on the character Kay Vess, a cunning scoundrel, in the first open-world Star Wars game. The storyline follows Vess as her skills as a thief catch the attention of Sliro, the leader of the criminal syndicate Zerek Besh. When Sliro places a bounty on Vess’s head, she and her companion Nix are given a chance at freedom by attempting a daring heist.
In order to complete the job, Vess and Nix must navigate the galaxy’s underworld, building their reputation with notorious criminal organizations such as the Pyke Syndicate, the Hutt Cartel, the Ashiga Clan, and Crimson Dawn. This support will be crucial for their success in pulling off the heist.
