Mexico’s Tragic Surfing Tragedy: Three Missing Surfers Found Dead with Gunshot Wounds to the Head

Surfers reported missing found shot dead and dumped in waterhole in Mexico

In Mexico, three surfers who had gone missing for a week were found dead with gunshot wounds to the head. The Mexican public prosecutor’s office announced this on Sunday. One theory being investigated is that the surfers may have been killed during an attempted car theft, as their pickup truck was found burned out near where the bodies were discovered in a 15-meter deep well.

The Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson, along with American Jack Carter, were last seen at a popular surf spot in the north of Baja California. When they did not show up at their Airbnb and one failed to report to work, a search began and their bodies were eventually found.

Local authorities arrested three individuals believed to be linked to the case. One of them was found with a missing person’s phone in his possession. The families of the three surfers are currently on site to identify the bodies and assist in the investigation.
