Minnesota Vikings Waive Wide Receiver Daylen Baldwin: What’s Next for the Undrafted Rookie?

Vikings release Daylen Baldwin from the team

Minnesota Vikings have waived wide receiver Daylen Baldwin, bringing an end to his time with the team. The announcement was made on Tuesday as the Vikings needed to make room on their 90-man roster for the upcoming rookie minicamp.

Baldwin originally joined the Vikings’ practice squad in November and later signed a future deal with the team after the regular season ended. He began his NFL career with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2022. During his rookie year, Baldwin spent most of his time on the practice squad but was elevated for one game where he caught two passes for 25 yards.

Despite his contributions during his time with the team, Baldwin was unable to secure a spot on the roster for the upcoming season. The decision was made to waive him in order to make room for incoming rookies. It remains to be seen where Baldwin’s NFL journey will take him next.
