MilliporeSigma’s “Curiosity Cube” Returns for Sixth Year to Spark Scientific Curiosity in Centre County.

Local Students Given Hands-On Science Experience Through Curiosity Cube

The Curiosity Cube, a mobile science lab brought to life by MilliporeSigma, is set to hit the North American tour for its sixth year. This innovative learning space is retrofitted from a shipping container and is designed to offer hands-on STEM education to students. Centre County will have the opportunity to participate in interactive experiments focused on sustainability as part of this educational initiative.

The Curiosity Cube will make stops in several locations in State College and Bellefonte, including public events at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, the Bellefonte Youth Center, Faith United Methodist Church, and Discovery Space. Additionally, the mobile science lab will host school-only events in local school districts.

The goal of the Curiosity Cube is to increase access to hands-on STEM education and inspire curiosity among students. Through three interactive experiments led by MilliporeSigma scientists, students will use scientific tools such as modular electronics and digital microscopes to learn about sustainability. By showcasing the practical applications of science and technology, the Curiosity Cube aims to motivate students to consider careers in STEM fields.

MilliporeSigma believes that early exposure to STEM education can pave the way for future innovation and encourage students to pursue careers in scientific fields. With a focus on sparking scientific curiosity and passion, the company hopes to empower young minds and build confidence in their ability to succeed in STEM careers.
