On April 8-10, the ArkLaTex region experienced a severe storm that caused flooding and damage in various areas. One of the towns affected by this storm was Minden, which experienced two separate incidents involving lightning strikes within a span of 30 minutes.

The first incident involved a business on Martin Luther King Drive, where it is suspected that lightning may have been the cause of the fire. However, the exact origin of the fire is still under investigation. The Minden Fire Department (MFD) responded to this incident and is currently investigating the causes of the fires.

In the second incident, a man was injured when lightning struck a tree nearby. It is believed that the lightning traveled through the ground, causing the man to sustain injuries. Fortunately, despite not remembering the exact details of the incident, it is reported that he is okay now.
