Mobile County Encourages Pet Owners to Get Their Pets Vaccinated at Low-Cost Clinics

Mobile County Health Department to provide affordable rabies vaccination clinics in April

Mobile County, Alabama has enacted a law that requires all dogs, cats, and ferrets to be vaccinated. Pet owners in the area can take advantage of resources to help vaccinate their animals. The Mobile County Health Department is offering low-cost rabies shots for dogs, cats, and ferrets.

There are still several drive-through clinics scheduled for April where pets can receive their rabies vaccinations. These clinics will take place on April 13 at the Mobile County Animal Shelter, April 13 at Pet Supplies Plus, April 20 at Glamour Paws Grooming, and April 26 at the Prichard Animal Shelter. The cost for a one-year rabies vaccine at these clinics is $12, payable in cash.

This initiative aims to ensure that animals are properly vaccinated against rabies. In 2023, the program vaccinated over 2,000 household pets. For more information on the rabies clinics, visit the Mobile County Health Department’s website.
