DOE Releases Request for Proposals for Operational Support Services at National Energy Technology Laboratory Facility

The Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory is seeking support services through the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Site Operations Support Services 5 (SOS5). This 8(a) small business set-aside contract aims to provide housekeeping and facility operation services in support of the NETL. The RFP was posted on SAM.gov on Monday, and interested parties have until May 17 to respond.

The solicitation will benefit the NETL facilities in Oregon, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. However, specific work locations and the cost of the contract type will be determined based on the requirements. SOS5 has a base period of performance of 24 months, with three options that can extend the work to a total of 60 months if exercised.

This contract presents an opportunity for small businesses to provide important support services to the Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory. By submitting a proposal, eligible companies can contribute to critical research and development efforts while also gaining valuable experience in working with a government agency.
