The completion of the new Amherst County Community Health Center is almost here, as announced by Johnson Health Center. This new health center in Madison Heights will provide primary care for adults and pediatrics, behavioral health services, dental care, a drive-thru pharmacy, and a wellness center with fitness equipment and a teaching kitchen. Construction of the health center began in 2023 with an anticipated opening date in early 2024.
Johnson Health Center’s CEO is thrilled about the project’s nearing completion and the job opportunities it will bring to the community. Plans are underway to hire 13 to 20 new workers to staff the facility. The organization looks forward to serving Amherst County with this new healthcare center.
