The center offers sliding fee discounts to help individuals and households in need of medical assistance reduce the cost of healthcare based on income and household size.
Wiggins Mayor Darrell Berry expressed his excitement about the new clinic, noting that it will help reduce appointment wait times for residents in need of medical attention. The goal is to serve the first patient in Wiggins by mid-September through walk-in services or the drive-through pharmacy. The addition of the Coastal Family Health Center in Wiggins and Stone County is seen as a positive development that will improve access to healthcare for the community.
