Main Street Kent is partnering with local businesses to offer engaging and educational programs that delve into the science behind their operations and other interesting topics. This initiative, known as the “Science of” program, will be focusing on an eclipse theme in April.

On Wednesday, April 3 at 6 p.m., everyone is welcome to attend “The Science of Total Solar Eclipse Photography” at North Water Brewing, located at 101 E. Craine Ave. The event will feature Jerry L. Jividen, a photo instructor, who will share his expertise on capturing stunning photos of a total solar eclipse. Jerry will showcase his own eclipse photographs and provide valuable tips on taking eclipse photos safely and creatively. Participants will also learn how to utilize the unique lighting of a solar eclipse for artistic compositions. There will be a Q&A session following the talk.

Jerry Jividen is a renowned photographer, known for his captivating image of the Kent Mill fire that graced the cover of Firehouse magazine.
