OBM Construction Thrives Amid Challenges in Housing Sector with Diversification and Acquisition

Loiret’s OBM Construction is thriving with two years of orders in advance, unaffected by the crisis.

OBM Construction, a Chevilly-based company specializing in wooden frame construction, is thriving despite challenges in the housing sector. The recent acquisition of Norman competitor Poulingue in receivership has allowed the company to diversify its markets and increase its size, making it a major player in the wood construction sector.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary last year, OBM Construction has been focused on school equipment and working with communities investing in this sector. The popularity of wooden construction has benefited the company, as it reduces the carbon impact of buildings. With almost two years of order books ahead, OBM Construction is well-positioned in the market.

OBM Construction manages sites as a general contractor and produces wooden frame walls and metal frames in its workshops. The acquisition of Poulingue allows the company to expand into rehabilitation projects, further diversifying its markets. This move doubles OBM Construction’s size and solidifies its position as a leading independent player in wooden construction.

The takeover is expected to significantly increase OBM Construction’s turnover in the coming years, with a goal of reaching 100 million euros by 2026. The company’s focus on sustainability and innovation has positioned it well for future growth and success in the competitive wood construction industry.
