Poole College student showcases bot-building skills, lands job offer at NC State event

Poole Student’s Presentation Wows Business Leaders – An Amazing Opportunity

Parker Steele, a student at Poole College, was given a rare chance to showcase his skills and make an impact in the business world. This opportunity came when he presented a bot he developed for the purchase-to-pay process in front of a group of executives at NC State. The bot was created as part of an accounting class taught by Marianne Bradford.

Steele’s presentation was well-received, with many audience members expressing their amazement and interest in hiring him on the spot. Before his presentation, Steele had the chance to network with business leaders during lunch the next day and the night before the event. His presentation took place at a meeting of the Carolinas chapter of the Americas’ SAP Users’ Group, where he demonstrated how his bot, tested in Bradford’s course, worked alongside UiPath software to create a purchase order in SAP.

Although Steele’s nerves were put to the test as he explained his bot to the room full of executives, he found it an unforgettable experience and was extremely grateful for the opportunity. He attributed his success to Poole College of Management and its faculty for providing students with exposure to such valuable opportunities. Overall, Steele’s presentation was a major success and earned him recognition from the business community.
