Raiders Eyeing New Training Camp Location in Costa Mesa: A Chance for Fan Engagement and Unique Viewing Experience

Oakland Raiders are considering relocating training camp to Southern California at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex

The Raiders are considering relocating their 2024 training camp from Henderson to Southern California, specifically the city of Costa Mesa. The team is currently in discussions with the city about using the Jack Hammett Sports Complex for this summer’s camp. If approved, the Raiders would pay $165,000 in rent to the city and an additional $600,000 for field improvements at the sports complex.

Since moving to Las Vegas in 2020, the Raiders have used their Henderson practice facility as their training camp site. However, if they decide to move to Costa Mesa, they would be one of five NFL teams training within 100 miles of one another in Southern California. This potential shift signifies a new opportunity for fan engagement and a chance to explore new training camp locations.

The Costa Mesa City Council will be discussing the possibility of entering into a one-year agreement with the Raiders. If this agreement is approved, practices would be open to the public, providing fans with an opportunity to watch their favorite team in action. The Raiders are excited about this potential move and are looking forward to exploring this new opportunity with Costa Mesa.
