The World Triathlon Championship Series and Mixed Relay Series Montreal events, originally scheduled for 14-15 September 2024, have been cancelled. However, the World Triathlon Para Series Montreal on 29 June will still proceed as planned. The cancellation of these events has led to changes in the 2024 series schedule. The World Triathlon Cup Weihai, scheduled for 27 September, has been elevated to a WTCS event and will now be the fifth stop of the 2024 Series.
Due to the cancellation of WTCS Abu Dhabi in March, ranking points will be awarded at four Series events: WTCS Yokohama, WTCS Cagliari, WTCS Hamburg and WTCS Weihai. Additionally, points will be awarded at Continental Championships, Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the Championship Finals Torremolinos-Andalucia.
