Revolutionizing Music Playlist Generation with Spotify’s AI-Powered Beta Tool

AI-generated playlists are hitting Spotify

Spotify is at the forefront of AI playlist generation and has recently introduced a new beta tool that allows users to create curated playlists based on text descriptions. This feature, called AI Playlist beta, is being rolled out to Spotify Premium subscribers in the UK and Australia on mobile devices.

To access the AI playlist builder, Android and iOS users in these locations can go to the “Your Library” section and tap the “+” button at the top right corner of the page. Once users select the AI Playlist option from the drop-down menu, they can type a command, such as “music to read on a cold rainy day,” to generate a playlist of 30 songs that match the specified mood. Additional prompts, like “more sad music,” can be used to modify the results until the user is satisfied with the playlist.

This new feature may be one of the factors behind Spotify’s planned price increases in the US, with Premium subscriptions currently starting at $5.99 per month for students and $10.99 for others. However, this new tool is revolutionizing how users create playlists based on text descriptions, providing a more personalized and tailored music experience for listeners. Through
