Riley Amos has started his 2024 World Cup season with a dominant performance at the U23 XC World Cup in Mairiporã, Brazil. He won both the XCC and XCO race with ease, securing a flawless weekend performance. The men’s race was chaotic from the start, with a group of five riders quickly breaking away at the front. Among them were strong contenders Luca Martin and Finn Treudler.

On the third lap, Riley Amos took advantage of a mistake by another rider to surge into the lead. He continued to maintain his lead over the remaining two laps, eventually winning by a wide margin. Bjorn Riley put up a valiant effort to catch up to the leader but finished in second place, just nine seconds behind Riley Amos. Cube Factory Racing’s Finn Treudler delivered a solid performance, consistently staying near the front throughout the race and finishing in third place, 20 seconds behind the winner.

The final results for the U23 Men’s race are as follows: 1st place – Riley Amos with a time of 1:06:31, 2nd place – Bjorn Riley with a time of 1:06:40 (+9 seconds), 3rd place – Finn Treudler with a time of 1:06:51 (+20 seconds), 4th place – Luca Martin with a time of 1:07:09 (+38 seconds), and 5th place – Luke Moir with a time of 1:07:58 (+1 minute and 27 seconds). With another race scheduled for next weekend, Riley Amos is poised to continue his dominance and challenge competitors in round two.
