After sale, RTX Cyber and Intel Business is Rebranded as Nightwing

In 2024, Nightwing, an independent cybersecurity and intelligence company, was spun off from RTX, a defense contractor based in Virginia. This change was announced months after RTX revealed a $1.3 billion deal in their quarterly financial reports. According to a spokesperson from RTX, Nightwing is now separate from the defense contractor and not connected to them. However, the identity of the buyer was not disclosed by the spokesperson. Reuters had previously reported that Blackstone, a private equity firm, was the buyer.

The company claims to have been in development for 40 years before becoming independent in 2024.
