San Francisco’s Rising Star: Bryce Eldering’s Impressive Start in Single-A

Watch Giants prospect Eldridge hit a unique opposite-field home run.

San Francisco’s top prospect, Bryce Eldridge, had an impressive start in Single-A. The 6-foot-7 first baseman/right fielder was originally drafted by the Giants as a two-way player with the No. 16 pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. Since then, Eldridge has focused on developing as a position player and has shown clear potential for elite power in the major leagues.

In the team’s season opener against the Fresno Grizzlies at Excite Ballpark, Eldridge went 2-for-4 with two RBI. During the game, he hit an unusual opposite-field home run in the bottom of the sixth inning, connecting with a 1-1 curveball high in the strike zone that initially looked like a pop-up down the left-field line. The ball carried over the wall for a two-run homer, showcasing Eldridge’s power at the plate.
