Seahawks Sign Proven Guard Laken Tomlinson to Strengthen Offensive Line

Laken Tomlinson signs with the Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have signed free agent guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million, according to ESPN’s Brady Henderson. With two guard spots open on their roster, the Seahawks are expected to bring stability and experience to their offensive line with the addition of Tomlinson. Throughout his nine-year career, he has primarily played at left guard and has only missed one game in that time period.

Tomlinson was recently cut by the Jets with one year remaining on his three-year, $40 million contract. Prior to his time with the Jets, he spent five seasons with the 49ers after being drafted by the Lions in the first round of the 2015 draft. In 2017, he was traded to the 49ers by the Lions. Despite his consistent play, Tomlinson only received his first Pro Bowl nod in 2021.

With his wealth of experience and skill, the Seahawks are hoping Tomlinson will be a key contributor to their offensive line in the upcoming season. His versatility and durability make him a valuable addition to the team as they look to improve their performance in the upcoming season.
