Sesotec and KRS Recycling Systems Showcase Revolutionary Sorting Technology at IFAT 2024

Sesotec and KRS Recycling introduce innovative sorting technology

Sesotec will showcase their innovative VARISORT+ FILM film sorter at the IFAT 2024 trade fair. The modular system is based on the proven features of the VARISORT+ machine family, and includes a specially generated laminar air flow for optimal conveying of flexible packaging and films, as well as an aerodynamically designed separator housing to ensure efficient sorting without air turbulence.

Engineers at Sesotec have developed advanced evaluation methods based on artificial intelligence for their sorting systems. With the use of “OBJECT-AI”, previously hard-to-detect impurities can now be easily identified and sorted out by the blow nozzles. The “NIR-AI” system allows for precise differentiation between different polymers, enhancing the sorting accuracy of the VARISORT+ FILM.

KRS Recycling Systems will also be presenting their SPEKTRUM+ glass sorting system at the trade fair booth, which features a new C-C sensor system that can better differentiate between black glass, dark glass, and CSP (ceramic/stone/porcelain). This system includes a specially developed special illumination plus sensor system to ensure that dark or impermeable glass is not mistakenly sorted out with other materials like ceramics or stones.
