Sexual Abuse at the Museum of Science and Industry: A 10-Year-Old Girl’s Traumatic Experience

NBC Chicago reports: Authorities seeking suspect accused of child sex abuse at Museum of Science and Industry

A 10-year-old girl was sexually abused at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago on Thursday. The incident took place at the museum’s location on 5700 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive, where the girl became separated from her group.

According to authorities, the girl was approached by a suspect who offered to help her find her group. However, he then led her to the museum’s second floor and asked her to use the restroom. While she was inside, the suspect entered her stall and touched her genital area. The girl kicked towards him, causing him to flee.

The suspect is described as being between 30 to 40 years old, weighing between 160 to 180 pounds, and standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet 3 inches tall. He has curly, light brown hair, a beard, and a tattoo on his neck of a roaring lion. Chicago police have issued a community alert and are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the Bureau of Detectives Special Investigations Unit at 312-492-3810.
