Shawarma Land: A New Houston Business Robbed on Its Opening Day, but Owner Remains Unfazed

West Houston’s Shawarma Land Opens on Westheimer, Burglarized Hours After First Day of Business

In the bustling west Houston neighborhood, a small business owner was left reeling after his new restaurant was robbed on its opening day. Shawarma Land, owned by Mohammad Assaad, had just opened its doors at 8571 Westheimer when a thief broke in and made off with over $1,000 in cash.

The incident left Assaad devastated, as he had poured all of his hard work and savings into the restaurant. But despite the setback, he remained determined to continue running the business and serving his diverse customer base in the busy area he had chosen.

The thief entered the establishment through the front door, ripped out the cash register, and fled through the back. While neighboring businesses in the crime hotspot area had also been targeted before, Assaad was surprised that the break-in occurred on the first day of business.

Houston police are currently investigating the burglary and no arrests have been made yet. The public is encouraged to follow Alex Bozarjian on Facebook and Instagram for updates on the story.

Assaad expressed his gratitude to his customers for their support during this difficult time and vowed to continue providing them with delicious shawarma recipes that he had spent years perfecting. Despite being located in a high-crime area, Assaad’s determination to succeed has inspired many in the community and given hope to those looking for a tasty meal in a busy area.
