In South Florida, Easter egg hunts are a beloved tradition that takes place during the season. Children in downtown Fort Lauderdale gathered at the Museum of Discovery and Science for an egg hunt known as “Egg-splorations.” The event aimed to teach young guests about animals that hatch from eggs while they raced to find golden eggs and win prizes. Joe Cox, the museum’s CEO, highlighted the importance of children discovering that the Easter bunny is not the only animal associated with eggs. Over 300 children and families participated in the event, searching for eggs throughout the museum and exploring the new Discovery Spot exhibit. An engineering challenge also took place, where children dropped eggs from a height to see if they could remain intact.

Further south in Miami Beach, an early egg hunt took place at Flamingo Park’s softball stadium. Children had the opportunity to search for eggs across the field and enjoy Easter-themed rides and games. Families also had the chance to meet the Easter Bunny and partake in festivities.
