Terri Talks: Rep. Terri Sewell Celebrates the Contributions of Small Businesses in Alabama’s 7th Congressional District through Virtual Discussion

Representative Sewell extends Small Business Tour across the 7th Congressional District

Rep. Terri Sewell of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District recently conducted a Small Business Tour in advance of National Small Business Week. During her tour, she visited four local businesses to highlight their contributions to the local economy and emphasize the importance of supporting small businesses.

Rep. Sewell expressed admiration for the impact that small businesses have on the community and emphasized their role as the backbone of the economy. She visited Travis Chicago Style, a local food truck known for its Polish sausage and bear burger, Alabama Goods, a retail store in Homewood specializing in Alabama-made products, Bearden Design, a boutique offering women’s clothing from around the world and The Coffee Shoppe in Selma which will be honored with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2024 Phoenix Award for Outstanding Disaster Recovery Efforts.

As part of National Small Business Week, Rep. Sewell will host a virtual discussion titled “Terri Talks” with Jackie Smith, the owner of The Coffee Shoppe. The event will be live streamed on Rep. Sewell’s official social media pages. National Small Business Week, taking place from April 28 to May 4, 2024, is a time to acknowledge the hard work, innovation, and dedication of small businesses and their significant contributions to the economy.
