Thrilling Baseball Showdowns: Union-Endicott and Johnson City’s Wins over Seton Catholic Central and Susquehanna Valley

In a series of thrilling matchups, Union-Endicott and Johnson City continued their winning streaks. The Tigers clinched a 4-3 victory against Seton Catholic Central in nine innings, while the Wildcats secured a 6-5 win over Susquehanna Valley in the same number of innings.

In the ninth inning, Lisa Lamey drew a walk and advanced to third on Michelle Wolf’s bunt before scoring on Lisa Jones’ sacrifice fly, securing the victory for Union-Endicott. The team had an impressive collective batting average of .344, with Caren Osier leading the way with a .529 average followed by Shannon Walsh at .475.

Johnson City also demonstrated strong performances in their matchup against Susquehanna Valley. The rally started with Tina Stanton’s home run before being followed by base hits from Lori Czeitner and Brenda Mott, who both scored on Cris Charpinsky’s two-out double.
