On Wednesday morning, a tragic industrial incident occurred at Huntsville Granite and Marble LLC, resulting in the death of a 32-year-old man named John Hopper. According to Don Webster of Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc. (HEMSI), the man was killed when granite fell on him at the scene on Memorial Parkway.
Emergency responders from HEMSI, Huntsville Fire and Rescue, and Madison County Rescue Squad all responded to the incident. The authorities, including OSHA, are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause and any possible safety violations.
