Triple Threat: Bedford Girls Soccer Team Dominates Ypsilanti Lincoln with Avry Madalinski’s Hat Trick and Elizabeth Klocek’s Strong Performance

Bedford soccer team dominates, with Liedel earning All-America honors

The Bedford girls soccer team secured a dominating 10-0 victory over Ypsilanti Lincoln, with Avry Madalinski leading the way with a hat trick and two goals. Elizabeth Klocek also contributed significantly to the team’s success, scoring two goals and providing three assists. Other goals were scored by Lexi Ripple, Kamryn Clifton, Madden Mosley, Maddie Helpman, and Libby Ewing, with Ewing and Helpman each contributing two assists. The team also received assists from Presley Napier, Madden Mosley, and Kam Clifton.

In prep track and field news, Bedford’s boys emerged victorious as champions of the Holland Springfield Invitational after a recalculation of scores placed them in first place with 134 points. This narrowly edged out Whitmer, who finished in second with 133 points.

On the college basketball front, Erie Mason graduate Joey Liedel was honored with a spot on the National Junior College Division II All-America second team. Liedel, a freshman at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, averaged an impressive 21.6 points per game while setting a school record with 51 points in a single game. Liedel was joined by former Mason teammate John Sweeney on this esteemed list of honorees for his freshman season at KVCC. Sweeney averaged an impressive 10.1 points per game while also grabbing an average of 8.2 rebounds per game.
