Vietravel Airlines Defies Odds to Achieve First Quarterly Net Profit, Eyes Expansion in the Second

Increased ticket prices lead Vietravel Airlines to report first-ever profit

Vietravel Airlines, under the umbrella of Vietravel, has recently achieved its first quarterly net profit of over 10 billion VND after more than three years of operation. The airline’s revenue exceeded 172 billion VND in March alone, an increase of 54% compared to the plan. This led to a collection of over 491 billion VND in the first quarter, marking a 42% increase. The net profit recorded by Vietravel Airlines was 10.1 billion, a significant achievement for the airline.

Despite challenges such as rising domestic air ticket prices and the need for engine maintenance and increased input costs, Vietravel Airlines has defied the odds by turning a profit in the aviation industry with a fleet consisting of only 3 narrow-body A321s. In the second quarter, Vietravel Airlines aims to achieve revenue of nearly 1,050 billion VND by expanding its flight network and frequency domestically and internationally, including charter flights to destinations like Japan and potential routes to Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Korea in the near future.

Vietravel Airlines is the first airline to announce its first quarter business results, setting an example for others to follow suit. As Vietravel Airlines continues to grow and expand its operations, it aims to solidify its position in the market and capitalize on opportunities for further growth and success.
