In Buffalo federal court, a local wellness spa owner has been charged with running a prostitution business. Linian Song, the owner of S Wellness Spa in Rochester and New Elegant Shiatsu in Lockport, is accused of promoting commercial sex acts and services online.
According to the complaint filed on Monday, customers who visited the spas claimed they paid for massages but instead received sexual acts from spa employees. Investigators also discovered that Song used Backpage-type websites to advertise these services.
During an FBI raid at the Lockport spa, Song was arrested and now faces charges for knowingly using a facility in interstate commerce with the intent to manage a prostitution business. The criminal complaint is available for more information.
