World Health Organization Celebrates 75th Anniversary with ‘My Health, My Right’ Theme: Insights from Statista Consumer Survey on Health Satisfaction Levels in Nigeria and South Korea

Health Satisfaction Chart: Where Individuals are Content with Their Well-being

The 75th anniversary of the World Health Organization is being celebrated this Sunday, along with World Health Day. This year’s theme, “My health, my right,” emphasizes the importance of access to quality health services, education, and information for all individuals. In addition to basic necessities such as clean water, clean air, and good nutrition, the WHO aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and freedom from discrimination.

To better understand how satisfied people are with their health, we can examine data from the Statista Consumer Insights macro-survey. In Nigeria, 85% of respondents reported being satisfied or very satisfied with their general state of health over the past year. On the other hand, South Korean respondents were less positive, with only 36% expressing satisfaction with their health.

It’s important to note that these data do not necessarily reflect the actual health status of people in these countries. Perceptions of health can vary widely and be influenced by cultural differences. This survey provides insight into how individuals perceive their overall health rather than offering a comprehensive assessment of population health levels.
