Adult Learner Cayla Begley Embarks on Educational Journey, Becoming an Inspiration to Others

Cayla Begley worked in the restaurant industry in Denver before being inspired by her coworkers and others to further her education. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Begley decided to pursue an associate’s degree at the Community College of Denver as an adult learner. After completing her associate’s degree, she decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree and chose Colorado State University for its strong human resource management major in the College of Business.

Begley is uncertain about her plans after graduation, but she hopes to secure a professional position and possibly pursue a master’s degree in the future. Her educational journey serves as a testament to the power of education and an inspiration to those looking to embrace new challenges and reach their full potential. Lorie Humphrey, who nominated Begley to be an outstanding graduate, highlighted her dedication to her studies and personal growth. Humphrey praised Begley’s achievement of passing the SHRM-CP exam and her contributions as a mock interview specialist, which have benefited her fellow students and showcased her positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
