Brewery Emperial Thrives in the Heart of Kansas City’s Changing Landscape: Navigating the Pros and Cons of Development Projects in the Crossroads

Business owners in the Crossroads District optimistic about potential increase in business with new ballpark opening.

In the bustling city of Kansas City, change is a constant force that can have both positive and negative effects on local businesses. One such business, Brewery Emperial, located in a prime spot in the Crossroads area, is optimistic about the future thanks to development projects in the area.

The strategic location of the brewery, not too close to disruptive construction yet not too far from the changes, makes it a potential beneficiary of growth in the area. Rich Kasyjanski, one of the brewery’s owners, envisions increased business with the development of a downtown ballpark nearby. He imagines patrons easily walking from the ballpark to the bar, creating a synergy that benefits both establishments.

Kasyjanski reflects on how much has changed since he moved to the area in 1995. He notes that there has been a revitalization of the Crossroads district, leading to an increase in activity, residence and entertainment options in the area. While he acknowledges uncertainties that come with development projects near his business, Kasyjanski remains hopeful about Brewery Emperial’s future and that of the Crossroads as a whole. The changes in the area have brought new life to district making Friday nights transitioning from ghost town status to a bustling hub of activity and attracting residents and visitors alike.
